Recognized
as one of Chicago's premier DJs, Brandy James began his musical career at only
eight years of age. At age eleven, he became the youngest student to receive a
scholarship for
classical piano from the prestige's National Academy of the Arts. He later
learned to play many different instruments including drums, guitar, bass and
vocals and he excelled as a composer. After discovering Metal in the early
80's, he spent a decade performing and touring the US as a guitarist, vocalist
and song writer, Then, in 1992, Brandy James found himself madly in love with
Florida's underground scene, and by the time he had moved back to Chicago in
1995, he was already establishing himself as one of Chicago's top DJs.
In 1996, Brandy James founded Unique Recordings,
promotional company and record label, and turned to promoting as a way to get
himself gigs. "I started to throw my own party's just to
get more exposure." Brandy James has released an arsenal of more than 20
independent mixed CDs on Unique Recordings. In '02 he collaborated with dj/producer
Dan Efex on the track "The Way I (feel about you)". An edit of this track was
used as the theme song for Afterhours Television.
Brandy James has also been making his mark in the dance music community as the
host of Afterhours Television (ATV). ATV is the first TV program in the US
devoted to the rapidly growing dance music industry. ATV features LIVE dj sets
and interviews from world class DJs and producers such as The Crystal Method, Paul Van Dyk, Carl Cox, Orbital,
Underworld, Sasha and John Digweed. ATV also features music videos and
fashion. ATV reaches 3.2 million homes in Chicagoland and NW Indiana, Friday
nights at 11:00pm on channel WJYS 62. Brandy James is also featured as the
host and dj on the DVD "Chicago Clublife Vol.1" released by ATV in March '03.
Chicago DJs Psycho Bitch, Jes One, Dan Efex and Alex Peace are also featured
on the DVD.
Brandy James, has returned to the USA from djing in Europe and is now in the
studio recording music for the Groove Champion record due out in 2004.

House / Deep Trance music that captivates you for over an hour of pulsating fun.
